Cars for Katrina Evacuees


NBRI has donated food, volunteered in shelters and have had the opportunity to meet some of these affected families. Many lost their cars in the flooding and evacuated with friends or on buses. NBRI has been able to get to know and purchase a car for each of the families, shown as we give them their car keys.

Labor Day Benefit BBQ and Concert - September 2005


We served nearly 550 plates of BBQ at The Woodlands United Methodist Church and raised $3,800. Many Katrina hurricane evacuees were able to joined us . Tody Castillo and his band entertained during the meal. Thank you so much to everyone who helped us with this event and also those who attended.

San Pedro, Guatemala - July 2005 School Building Construction



The foundation is being laid for the school , Colegio Evangelico Torre Fuerte (The Tower of Strength Evangelical School). It is quite an extensive project due to the earthquake zone and the location on a hillside. It definitely makes for some beautiful scenery.

San Pedro, Guatemala - July 2005 Vacation Bible School with Arnold Gonzales





Each day of the Vacation Bible School, the children were divided into age groups and we played games, made a craft and had songs and stories. The last day we had a parade down the streets of San Pedro. The children love shaking their noise-makers and blowing their kazoos. It is amazing to see the townspeople come out and sit on the curb to watch the event.

Benefit Concert featuring Dave Barnes with Justin Rosolino -- May 1, 2005


Dave and Justin put on an amazing performance full of hilarious stories and outstanding guitar playing. This concert benefited the School Building Program in San Pedro, Guatemala, in which $2,000 were raised. Thanks so much to our volunteers for their great desserts, and everyone who was able to come to raise support for the school.

These are pictures sent to us by Jim and Barb Howard. We were able to work with Fre' Tiza to buy a new welder for his start-up welding business. Shown here are pictures of the plane delivering the welder and Fre' Tiza being able to work again with the help of his new welder. Benefit Concert featuring Jill Paquette -- January 16, 2005

Our first Benefit Concert for NBRI, benefiting the School Building Program in San Pedro, Guatemala. Jill Paquette put on a beautiful concert for everyone, as they enjoyed Starbuck's coffee and homemade cookies. Thank you to everyone who came to support this program.

The beautiful children of Guatemala. We did a vacation Bible School with them in July and at the end of the week we had a parade around Arnold's town, San Pedro Jocopilas.

These are pictures sent to us by Jim and Barb Howard. We have had the wonderful opportunity to help Jean-Robert installing 3 solar panels for his store. A store with refrigeration is a first in Bohoc. They then had a dedication ceremony for the store.

The team worked on leveling the land next to the school, as well as began the tiling of one of the classrooms. They were a tremendous help to Amerigo, the "Jefe", the foreman for the construction of the school. They also had a chance to spend some time praying with him as well.

San Pedro Jocopilas, Guatemala - Vacation Bible School for La Iglesia Torre Fuerte


The team had a great time ministering to the children of San Pedro during the week of VBS. They started the week with about 60 kids and ended with 160 at the end of the week. Word spread fast and the team was blessed beyond measure by these children. The kids had a fantastic time, too, as you can tell.

National Hospital in Santa Cruz del Quiche, Guatemala - Hearing Aid Ministry July 2007

Barry Keinholz was able to join the team this year. He is a Hearing Aid Specialist and was able to have over 60 hearing aids donated to be used this summer. He spent countless hours in the national hospital fitting people with hearing aids. The smiles on these Mayan's were priceless. They walked in with little or no hearing and walked out with the ability to hear again. It was a great ministry to be able to implement this summer.

January 2007 - Container Shipment to Guatemala

NBRI assisted in the funding and packing of a container being shipped to Guatemala full of school and medical supplies to be used in local schools, hospitals and rural clinics.

Quito, Ecuador

NBRI helped Rod Bond purchase this 4x4 vehicle in order to continue the Adopt-A-Church Program into the mountains of Ecuador.

Construction of Colegio Torre Fuerte - August 10, 2006


These pictures show the process of pouring the terraza (concrete roof). It took one day, 3 cement mixers, about 50 buckets, and 70 Guatemalan laborers. The roof must dry for 30 days before removing the wood forms for further construction.

Vacation Bible School with the children this year was very exciting. The teams brought down some very new and creative games, stores, and crafts, which you can see by the photos. The children had a great time and each year there are new many new faces, as well as the familiar ones.

These pictures show the laying of the forms and rebar in preparation to pour the "terraza" (concrete roof). After the completion of the roof, they will begin to lay the tile flooring, and install the bathrooms.
