Jeremie, Haiti

NBRI provides administrative and financial support for Haiti Bible Mission (HBM). We have recently completed our Mission dorm facility in Jeremie, Haiti. The Stockeland’s are involved with orphanage feeding programs, church construction projects, youth camps and hosting missions teams.

NBRI, Agape in Action, and our mission partners, Haiti Bible Mission (www.haitibiblemission.org) and GVCM (www.gvcm.org) have been collecting funds and supplies to send relief aid to Haiti. Through a partnership with Mission of Hope (www.missionofhopehaiti.org) and Convoy of Hope (www.convoyofhope.org) we loaded a 53-foot container full of supplies on February 25, 2010, and these supplies will go be going to Haiti on shipping containers in the coming days for our missionaries on the ground. We spent most of January and February obtaining medical supplies (especially orthopedic care for broken bones, etc.) along with other relief items for the container. We will also be sending medical teams to Haiti as soon as possible to serve. Please be in prayer with us as we seek the Lord’s provision and blessing in our continued efforts to help in this time of great need.
Above all, we desire to see the gospel proclaimed and lives to be changed for the Glory of God during these desperate times in Haiti. Please contact us if you have assistance to offer in acquiring more supplies or if you would like to be involved with medical relief in the coming months.

We are very happy to announce that the school in San Pedro Jocopilas is now up and running!
After several years of prayer, patience, and hard work, Pastor Arnold Gonzalez has officially opened the Colegio Evangelico “La Generacion” in San Pedro Jocopilas del Quiche, Guatemala. We are excited to announce that the first school year is underway and we have about 20 students attending classes. On January 18, 2010, an opening ceremony was held to celebrate the beginning of classes at “La Generacion” school. Our friend Alma Khoury was able to be there for the ceremony and the first day of class. She was asked to give a short speech to those in attendance and represented NBRI and all of you who have been a part of this process for the past several years. All of your support, prayer, mission teams and encouragement have been a great blessing to Pastor Arnold and his family while constructing the school. The Lord has brought about all of these things and Pastor Arnold has expressed his thanks to all of you who have continued to support the people of Guatemala and their efforts to provide an opportunity for children to have a Christian education, who may not have the opportunity otherwise.
