   We are very happy to announce that the school in

San Pedro Jocopilas is now up and running!

After several years of prayer, patience, and hard work, Pastor Arnold Gonzalez has officially opened the Colegio Evangelico “La Generacion” in San Pedro Jocopilas del Quiche, Guatemala.  We are excited to announce that the first school year is complete and we had about 20 students attending classes.  On January 18, 2010, an opening ceremony was held to celebrate the beginning of classes at “La Generacion” school.  Our friend Alma Khoury was able to be there for the ceremony and the first day of class.  She was asked to give a short speech to those in attendance and represented NBRI and all of you who have been a part of this process for the past several years.  All of your support, prayer, mission teams and encouragement have been a great blessing to Pastor Arnold and his family while constructing the school. The Lord has brought about all of these things and Pastor Arnold has expressed his thanks to all of you who have continued to support the people of Guatemala and their efforts to provide an opportunity for children to have a Christian education, who may not have the opportunity otherwise. As we move into the 2011 school year, we are looking for more support for students at the school to help pay for the costs of a wonderful Christian education.  Please consider supporting this school as we strive to help Guatemalans reach the future generations for Christ.  We hope that you will continue to be in prayer with us and help support this school as the Lord leads you.
